My name is John Coghlan. I am an Optometrist based in Brisbane, Australia, with over 30 years experience in my profession. I graduated from the University of New South Wales with my B.Optom in 1979.

After attending several conferences based in ski fields primarily for Legal and Medical practitioners I decided that there was a demand for a similar event for eye care professionals.

The conference is slanted towards Optometrists, but Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, Optical Dispensers, General Practitioners, Pharmacists and ancillary staff would all gain educational value, broadened experience and networking value from the event. We sometimes get insulated in our arm of the eye care profession and the event is all about relaxing in a beautiful environment with a common denominator of skiing and sharing ideas with members of our various professions.
