The two common ways of getting from Tokyo to Nozawa are by coach or train. Also note that Tokyo has two airports, Narita and Hanaeda.
Train transfer details and tips for train and coach can be found here: https://www.nozawaholidays.com/getting-to-nozawa-onsen/
Coach transfer, another option is here  https://naganosnowshuttle.com/Reserve/AirporttoResort.aspx?Ref=Powderhounds
Private Taxi, you can get a quote here: http://air.chuotaxi.co.jp/index.html?lang=jp&tm=1574086481006

Please make your own arrangements for transfers and also think of your exit strategy.

If there is enough interest will organise a private bus snow monkey tour on the Thursday. There are options of a full day monkey park,  Nagano  and Zenko-ji Temple tour as per:

Or just the snow monkeys tour. Both options mean you would miss out on a days snow sports although the snow monkey only one is classed as a half day trip.

This trip is NOT included in your package

If you’re keen on a monkey tour use the shared spreadsheet to express your interest  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15M66IAGq42cP24Z7GYh-ZIuG8A1_gonBsrFiZjOYwM8/edit?usp=sharing

Potential prices and details are on the spreadsheet

I have sorted a good ski hire option. Nozawa is a subtle town and there are not a lot of ‘in your face’ ski shops about. Mark Baumann runs a good hire place and knows Australian tastes and sizes. The venue is decent 10 min plus walk from our venues but he has offered to collect us on demand and back to the hotel or just transfer the gear back. He can also arrange storage on the mountain so you don’t have to walk to the lift or carpetway in boots. Handy if the place is icy.

To sort the pick up you can call on 09096696026 or same with Whattsapp +819096696026.

To book your hire use this link https://www.nozawaholidays.com/ski-gear-clothing-hire/  clothing can also be hired there and they will look after you. Make sure you mention you are part of the eye conference group.

Nozawaholidays can arrange this https://www.nozawaholidays.com/services/

Katy O’Connell, the director of linkCPR, will be giving a talk. She can combine this with full CPR accreditation if it’s time to renew your stuff

[APHRA requires this every 3 years]. She will bill you separately for the accreditation.

Logistically she will be giving the 6pm talk on Wednesday. Those getting accreditation will hang around post talk to sort it. Makes for a very convenient way to update it.

If you’re wanting to book for this do so directly with Katy as per:

To enrol in HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation please click on the registration link below.

The course is $65 per person and is fully accredited. You will be invoiced separately after enrolment.

Kind Regards,
Katy O'Connell
